World University and MSB Sued for Usury, Illegal Loans, Minnesota Attorney General, Lori Swanson, sued World University and Minnesota class of company for misleading pupils inside their criminal justice system over job leads. Misleading ads when it comes to scheduled system would show people in authorities uniforms, therefore the schools would enlist pupils whom wished to be police officers despite the fact that their programs are not certified to take action. Both schools have shut down their criminal justice program at their Minnesota campuses, and the schools have even been suspended from receiving educational funding from the Department of Defense since Swanson filed her lawsuit.

This past March, Swanson amended her consumer fraudulence lawsuit she filed against world University and Minnesota class of company last July, to now consist of two extra counts: Unlicensed Lending and Usury. Those two extra costs particularly include the schools’ EdOp and StA loans. As mentioned in her own lawsuit, “Defendants practice unlicensed financing, fee interest that is usurious, and just just take aggressive action against pupils who fall behind to their institutional loan re payments; preventing pupils from finishing this program by which they truly are enrolled.” Swanson also asserts why these loans are “void” and “students are under no obligation to cover any amount owing and tend to be eligible to recover all quantities compensated.”
